Customer Service Centres

Service SA's Customer Service Centres provide a comprehensive range of Government services over the counter.

Centres are located throughout South Australia. View the Locations page for contact details, maps and photos of our centres.

Hours of business are Monday to Friday, 9.00am - 5.00pm.

Each Service SA Customer Service Centre features a Hearing Assistance Device and is accessible for mobility-impaired customers.

Customer Service Centres enable people to conduct financial transactions, obtain government information and purchase products. You can:

  • pay bills including SA Water, Emergency Services Levy, Land Tax and SA Housing Trust debtor payments
  • undertake motor registration and licensing transactions
  • obtain government information on a broad range of topics
  • purchase government products and publications
  • find the right people in government to talk to.

Note: Some services including applying for birth, death or marriage certificates, lodging a rental bond, registering a business name, renewing occupational licences are available through selected Service SA Customer Service Centres. Call 13 23 24 for further information.

Government Legislation+ Outlet

Service SA's Government Legislation+ Outlet provides over-the-counter access to legislation, government products and selective bill paying services. The Government Legislation+ Outlet is located in the central business district of Adelaide at 101 Grenfell Street. Hours of business are Monday to Friday, 9.00am - 5.00pm.

You can purchase:

  • State and Commonwealth Government Legislation, Bills and Gazettes
  • books, reports and other publications
  • budget papers
  • various products including, 'Do-It-Yourself' Power of Attorney and Guardianship Kits, Government Diaries and Year Planners
  • Lands Titles Office Panel forms.

You can also pay a range of Government bills including:

  • Emergency Services Levy
  • SA Water
  • Land Tax
  • SA Housing Trust debtor payments

Rural Agents

Service SA provides smaller rural communities with access to State Government information and services through its Rural Agent Program.

Rural Agents deliver services on behalf of Service SA from their existing community outlets. These services include:

  • Providing information to customers on Government services
  • Processing transactions (financial and non-financial)
  • Obtaining and lodging permits and applications
  • Conducting Learner Driver Theory tests
  • Downloading forms
  • Receiving referrals for specialised services

APY Lands

Service SA has implemented the Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (APY) Lands Service Delivery Project, delivering services at Amata and Mimili through an Agent (PY Media).

The program is part of the State's contribution to the Commonwealth of Australian Government's Trial to the "PY Ku Network" of transaction centres.

The program delivers a range of services including the following:

  • vehicle registration renewal
  • births, deaths and marriage certificate applications
  • expiation and fines enforcement payments
  • non-financial informational services.

Customer Contact Centre

By calling one phone number - 13 23 24, you can speak to an experienced Service SA officer who will answer your query or connect you to the right person in government.

You will speak to a real person, as Service SA does not use automated telephone response systems. Staff have access to an extensive database containing information on government services, government agencies and their contact details.

The Centre operates Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 6.00pm.

The Service SA website, www.service.sa.gov.au provides a single electronic gateway to a broad range of government information, services and products.

You can:

  • access state, local and federal government information and services
  • conduct financial transactions e.g. paying bills, fines and taxes
  • apply/renew permits and licences
  • buy government products
  • access government news and events, including emergency information.

Shop

Service SA provides a secure purchasing facility where you can buy government products online - www.shop.service.sa.gov.au.

You can purchase:

  • State and Commonwealth Government Legislation, Bills and Gazettes
  • books, reports and other publications
  • budget papers
  • various products including, 'Do-It-Yourself' Power of Attorney and Guardianship Kits, Government Diaries and Year Planners
  • Lands Titles Office forms.

Online shop orders are processed and dispatched within one working day of receiving an order, provided stock is available.
