Finding Your Information
Service SA realises that people look for information in different ways, that’s why we’ve designed our site to cater for this.
For example, if you’re looking for a service, you can find it by:
- Browsing Services via one of our category groupings
- Browsing Life Events, where services are grouped by a contextual event
- Searching by keyword or phrase
The site has two main methods for finding information; browsing and searching. To browse for information, use the main menu to look through:
- Services - Payment, Application and Informational
- SA Government – Departments, Premier and Ministers, Other State Government Bodies and more
- Life Events
- Directories - Crisis Helplines, Federal Government, Grants and more
- Online Products
- About Us - Service SA Organisational Information, Our Network, News and Contact Details
To search for information, simply enter your keyword or phrase into the search box (located on all pages) to display the search results in four key categories:
- Services
- Departments
- Life Events
- Online Products
To view the results for a category, click on the category to expand, and then select the required service from the list. If you have more than 10 results per category, use the next/previous page navigation links or the drop down page list to view other results. To view other categories, select the category to expand and display the results.
If you find your search keyword returning:
- Too many results, try two or more words for a narrower set of results
- Not enough results, use a broader or relative term to expand the results
Quick Tips
- At the top of each page on the site (just below the heading for the page) there are “breadcrumbs”, which indicates where you are within the site and also allows you to retrace your steps back to the home page.
- The Site Map (very top of each page, above the image) is useful for displaying how the site’s pages are organised under specific areas
- While browsing services, you can quickly access the most popular services within our categories by viewing the "Top 10 Services in this Category" section.
- You can quickly access major government websites for each service category from the "Related Sites" section when browsing services.
