Who can be nominated?

The awards target organisations, not individuals. Any South Australian business, not for profit organisation, government agency or general practice, regardless of their size, location, industry or sector can be nominated for an award in one or several categories.

Who can nominate?

Anyone can nominate an organisation for an award. Self-nominations by organisations are also accepted.

What evidence is required?

No evidence is required from the person undertaking the nomination.

Following a nomination, Office for Carers will independently seek evidence from the nominated organisation of carers uptake of the initiative, carers satisfaction with the initiative, specific outcomes achieved, and how the initiative is communicated and embedded in organisational practice.

Office for Carers will ask the nominated organisation for two referees who can verify and comment on the nomination details. Referees can be carers, their families or other organisations impacted by the initiative.

Is there a cost involved to enter the awards?

No, there are no entry fees.

Can nominations be made in more than one category?

Yes, one initiative can be nominated in more than one category. However, only one award can be won by any one initiative.

Multiple awards can be won by one organisation where nominations made relate to different initiatives undertaken by that organisation.
