Homelessness sector

People who are homeless or have high support needs require extra help to find the right housing solution that delivers stability, quality of life and a sense of security and connectedness.
The Government partners with other agencies to provide supported accommodation services for:

  • young people
  • families
  • single adults
  • those experiencing domestic violence.
There are some additional services for Aboriginal people.

The homelessness sector has been reformed in partnership with service providers with aims to provide:
  • high quality services from professional and able providers to customers
  • an integrated service response to customers
  • support for service providers.
