The Alzheimer's Association exists to help the person with Alzheimer's or one of the other dementias, their family members and carers. Information, support and counselling is freely available from the Association's team of professional and volunteer staff. The Resource Centre provides Information, Counselling, Community Support Groups, Carer Education, Multicultural Resources, Training of family and professional carers, Books and Videos, Seminars and Speakers and Advocacy.

The Speak Easy Association is a self-help organisation that provides support for people who stutter by holding weekly meetings in their respective metropolitan and rural locations. Groups meet regularly to work on fluency techniques, discuss individual stuttering problems and develop self confidence through role-playing and public speaking. The Association's primary aim is to assist stutterers, particularly after they have undertaken some form of speech pathology treatment, by providing opportunities for its members to practice fluent speech skills, and to help individuals manage and control their speech in daily situations.

The Australian Caption Centre is a national not-for-profit, public benevolent organisation that was opened in 1982. Our role is to promote captioning and the use of captioning to the Deaf and hearing impaired, to provide a wide range of free information services about captioning and to develop and expand captioning.

Community Accommodation and Respite Agency (CARA) is an accommodation and respite service for adults and children with severe multiple disabilities and adults with severe physical disabilites. All CARA services are provided in the community.

Deafness Resources Australia (DRA) is the trading division of Australian Communication Exchange Limited (ACE), which is managed by a Board of Directors comprising no less than 51% of board members who are Deaf, or have a speech or hearing impairment. DRA develops and distributes a specialised, comprehensive, up-to-date range of resources, and provides consultation and referral in this field.

The Short Statured People of Australia (S.S.P.A.) is a non-profit, self-help organisation that provides support and information for people of short stature (dwarfs) who don't (or won't) reach the height of 150 cm.
